Malady Festival Update Part 2

Following on from screenings at the East End Film Festival, Columbia Gorge and Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival – we had our next screening at Indie Cork.IndieCork_Poster

I managed to make my way out for the second half of the festival, and the atmosphere they had created out there was fantastic! I had the opportunity to watch some incredible features (my favourite being ‘Song of the Blackbird’ which deservedly won the award for best feature), an outstanding selection of shorts (‘How was your Day’, ‘Wait’ and ‘A Coat Made Dark’ were my favourite picks) and curated music events every evening!

I had a picture taken with Roxy at the festival that made my eyes look crazy. You can see it below…

The screening itself went incredibly well, we had a fantastic turn out and a really positive response to the film! Enormous thanks needs to go out to Una, Eibh, Shane and the entire team at IndieCork who made me have a fantastic time. They literally made me, and it was brilliant!! The festival is only in it’s 3rd year but felt incredibly established; the programme was incredibly diverse and there was lots of events and workshops running alongside the screenings. Be sure to head out to Cork for this one in future years! Check out their site here.
